Women’s Tennis Earns National Recognition in ITA Year-End Rankings – University of California, Santa Barbara

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released their NCAA Division I Women’s Mid-Major and Regional Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for June 7, 2024.

The Mid-Major Rankings include the Top-25 Teams while the Regional Rankings include the Top-10 Teams, Top-20 Singles, and Top-10 Doubles for every region. 

The Gauchos had good representation throughout the mid-major and regional rankings released on Friday, June 7. The Gauchos were ranked no. 10 in the Top 25 Mid-Major Rankings they also slid in at No. 8 in the Southwest regional rankings beating out the likes of San Diego State, Grand Canyon and conference foe Cal Poly.

Along with team recognition Amelia Honer was ranked as the third best singles player in the Southwest region. She sits only behind Savannah Broadus and Lisa Zaar of Pepperdine. Honer and her doubles partner Kira Reuter were slotted as the seventh best doubles duo in the region as well.
