Woman Playing Lottery Game for the First Time Ends Up Winning Big

An American woman wanted to do something new, so she played the Maryland Lottery Racetrax virtual horse racing game, and ended up winning $31,233.
The player was out with friends at Town Center Market in Riverdale when she decided to give it a shot.
“I wanted to try something different,” the Silver Spring resident said. “So, I went to the machine and played Racetrax.”’
She placed a $6 Trifecta bet on the horses 12, 10 and 11 to finish in that order, and took off to be with her friends.
Although the player didn’t stay for the races, they played out and she was encouraged by her pals to check the result.
“My friends urged me to check my ticket, so I went to the scanner,” she recalled.
“I was shocked when I saw the amount because I have never won that amount of money ever.”
Her winnings totalled $31,233 before taxes. The winner celebrated by buying her friends a round of drinks.
She said she’ll use the prize for home improvement and paying her son’s college fee.
