Pals Battalion

Mr Irrelevant won last time out beating Pals Battalion but there’s now a big weight shift in comparison to that run which gives the Middleham Park horse a real chance under David Nolan.

He carried 1lb extra to Mr Irrelevant, who is now carrying 10lb more than the David O’Meara trained horse.

The three-year-old was gelded in November and has since come third and fourth twice, but each time close up.

He’s been dropped a total of 4lb since his initial run in May and should run better now.

Bengurion has won twice in his only two runs for Charlie Johnston which has turned out to be good form with second placed Harvard Sound going on to win next time out on his subsequent run.

This filly will have to carry 9lb more than Pals Battalion though, so she’s going to need to keep her progress up to stand a chance.

Stockpyle

Placed here just last week by a neck and has subsequently gone up 2lb for that close success.

Wind surgery from May 2023 and a long break probably required his run on reappearance in April at Southwell and now he’s getting back up to his previous rating.

Now the gelding is ideally primed to go well and even better than before.

Rosa Applause

Won by four lengths at Wolverhampton in November 2023 and then followed that up on reappearance for her seasonal debut at Lingfield in May, beating Dance And Romance by nearly four lengths.

She’s one of the few to still be unexposed and with two prominent displays in a row she’s clearly got more in her locker.

William Buick has a great record at Kempton too which boosts her chances.
