Good morning, America! Pete Wolinski here, Tom’s Guide Reviews editor, taking over this blog to highlight some of my favorite Memorial Day deals. To kick things off, let’s talk about an awesome deal on the 2023 Mac Mini M2, on sale for $499 at Amazon. That’s $100 off its usual price!

I’ve been covering Memorial Day all weekend now, and this deal keeps catching my eye — it’s just about the cheapest way you can get yourself a brand new Mac. It won’t give you the flexibility of a MacBook, of course, but if you already have a monitor and peripherals and need a new macOS machine for a home or office setup, it’s perfect. In our 2023 Mac Mini M2 review, we loved the powerful M2 chip and tiny, desk-friendly design. We also loved the cheaper starting price versus its predecessor, which gets even better with this deal!

No Amazon seasonal sale is complete without discounts on the retailer’s products, including the Amazon Fire TV Stick range. For Memorial Day 2024, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is on sale for $39. This is a 33% discount on its $59 list price.

This second-generation model isn’t a huge leap from its predecessor, but it offers very solid streaming options all at an affordable price. In our Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd gen) review, we praised its video quality and ease of use. It’s a nifty streaming gadget that can upgrade any TV to a full Smart model with comprehensive options.

No holiday sales event is complete without a discount on Apple’s ever-popular AirPods Pro, and Memorial Day is no exception. Over at Best Buy, the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) are $189 for a limited time. That’s a $60 saving, and this deal runs through today (May 27), so don’t delay if you’ve got AirPods Pro on your wishlist.

The AirPods Pro 2 pack Apple’s new H2 chip to provide 2x more noise cancellation than their predecessors. They also offer Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking for a more immersive audio experience. In our AirPods Pro 2 review, we said they take everything we loved about the original AirPods Pro to the next level. This new model includes a USB-C charging case.

If you’re considering upgrading your phone this Memorial Day then Amazon has a deal that will surely tip you over the edge. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (256GB) is on sale for $1,049 at Amazon. That’s 20% off its $1,299 full list price.

We rank the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as one of the best phones you can buy, in our testing it set new benchmarks in several key areas including battery life, screen brightness and processing performance. Plus, it takes full advantage of Galaxy AI to help save you time. Check out our Samsung Galaxy S24 review for more details.

Beats Solo4

The recently released Beats Solo 4 are already on sale in Amazon’s Memorial Day sale. For a limited time, the Beats Solo 4 are available for $149 at Amazon, that’s a $50 discount off the full list price of these already value-packed on-ear headphones.

Our Beats Solo 4 review called the wireless headphones a “solid improvement” over their predecessor. We were particularly impressed with the collapsible design, voice call quality, lengthy 50 hours of battery and how seamlessly they connect with iOS and Android devices. The lack of active noise cancellation is a slight drawback.

Alienware Aurora R16

The redesigned Alienware Aurora R16 is a veritable gaming powerhouse, delivering great gaming performance at a whisper thanks to its powerful components and enhanced cooling technology. It’s one of the best gaming PCs we’ve ever reviewed, and it just got a massive discount during Dell’s Flash Sale.

The new Alienware Aurora R16 packs a Core i9-13900F CPU, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. In our Alienware Aurora R16 review, we said the Editor’s Choice rig is a gaming powerhouse with powerful components and enhanced cooling technology. We also highlighted its elegant, discreet design and small desk footprint.

Samsung The Frame QLED

There may be no other household item I’ve pined for longer than the Frame TV by Samsung — and that’s mostly due to its enduringly hefty price tag. But Memorial Day weekend is the perfect chance to snag a great deal on one of Samsung’s sleekest-looking TVs. Right now, Walmart has the cheapest price we’ve seen for the 55-inch model.

If you aren’t familiar with Samsung’s Frame TVs, the pitch is simple: What if your TV could hide the fact it was a TV? The Frame by Samsung does just that, disguising itself as a piece of art whenever it’s not in use. That’s on top of a 4K QLED display, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos support, and all the smart features afforded by Samsung’s Tizen OS.

Hisense 65

With the flood of Memorial Day TV sales available this weekend, you’re not hurting for choice. But for all the basketball fans out there looking for a new set-up to watch the NBA playoffs, this is the TV deal to get.

The Hisense U6H is an affordable Fire TV that offers top-level performance. Right now, Amazon is taking $200 off its already cheap price, and throwing in a complimentary gift card up to $200 to the NBA store to boot. In our Hisense U6H review, we called it a stellar value and a budget TV that exceeds expectations. It offers Dolby Vision/HDR10/HDR10 Plus support, four HDMI 2.1 ports, full array local dimming, and built-in Google Assistant support/Alexa compatibility.

DreamCloud mattress shown in bedroom

DreamCloud has launched an epic 50% sale for Memorial Day, and we’ve just got to give a shout-out to this deal on our favorite hybrid mattress. The 14-inch DreamCloud mattress features five layers that offer firm, responsive support as well as soft cushioning. In our DreamCloud mattress review, we said it’s a great bed for just about anyone, especially if you suffer from hip or lower back pain. As part of this flash sale, you can get hybrid beds starting at just $419.

Hydro Flask sales

Need a new tumbler for the summer? You’re in luck! Both Amazon and Hydro Flask are offering competing sales that knock up to 50% off Hydro Flask accessories and tumblers. After discount, prices start as low as $3 for accessories and $14 for tumblers. I mention both sales because in some instances, Hydro Flask is undercutting Amazon’s prices by a buck or two. So my advice is to check out both sales to see which retailer has the lowest price on the item you want.

MacBook Air M2 deal

Grab this deal while you can! Amazon has the excellent MacBook Air M2 on sale for just $829 in what looks like a Lightning offer that’s one-day only. That’s a new all-time price low for this amazing laptop. Yes, Apple just released its new line of M3-based MacBook Airs AND they’re on sale too, but the 13-inch costs $999 ($100 off) and the 15-inch costs $1,199 ($100 off). Meanwhile, this M2-based machine is just $829 and it’s just as much of a workhorse as the newer M3 models. Personally, I own the MacBook Air M2 (15-inch) and I’ve yet to see it stutter or slow down. (For reference, I have the base 8GB RAM/256GB model). Here’s a prediction — if there’s still stock of this 13-inch MacBook Air M2 come the holiday season, it could easily hit $749 for Black Friday. You heard it here first!

If you find yourself in a similar scenario, I’ve gathered the best Apple Memorial Day sales live right now in this link below. Some of the best deals right now include the Apple Watch 9 for $299 (lowest price) and discounts on the new iPad Air ($50 off) as well as the previous-gen iPad Air at an all-time price low of $399.

Top 3 Memorial Day TV deals

Ninja Professional Blender

Appliances tend to see the biggest price cuts on Memorial Day. That includes major appliances, like dishwashers and refrigerators, as well as small appliances, like air fryers and blenders. If you want a quick bird’s eye view of the best sales right now, we’ve rounded up the best online deals in one easy to digest story. That said, there are three sales I personally want to call out as well. Best Buy is taking 45% off appliances and bundling up to a $500 gift card on select purchases. Meanwhile, Ninja is taking up to $150 off with an extra 10% off via coupon code “EXTRA10”. Finally, Samsung is taking up to $1,500 off refrigerators, washers, and more. These are easily the best sales happening right now.

Hoka Arahi 6

For the biggest discounts, I usually tell people to buy clothes that are out of season. So right now, I’d personally buy fall or winter clothing as they’ll be cheaper than spring/summer. That said, sometimes you just need new clothes ASAP. If you’re in a similar situation, check out the current REI sale. The retailer has a mix of in-season and out of season clothing and gear on sale. It includes brands like Hoka, The North Face, Patagonia, and more.

There are a lot of video game deals available this weekend, but one of my favorites comes from Amazon. When you spend $250 or more on select video games/consoles at Amazon, you’ll get an instant $25 discount in-cart. This sale is particularly helpful if you’re buying a new console. For example, get the Switch OLED for $324 after discount. Or get the PlayStation Portal ($199) and add a game or accessory to save $25.

The Best Buy Memorial Day sale went live this morning. Best Buy is one of my go-to stores for deals on Apple gear, TVs, and laptops and this year’s sale won’t disappoint. You’ve got Switch games from $9, MacBooks from $849, and smart TVs from $69. It’s worth pointing out that Best Buy used to have the lowest OLED TV prices, but now that the 48-inch LG A2 OLED TV is sold out — OLED prices start from $899 for the 42-inch LG C3 (instead of $549 for a 48-inch LG A2). Those are two wildly different TVs (the A2 was more entry-level hence the lower price), but my point is that if you want a budget OLED — the 42-inch C3 is where it’s at these days. Make sure to check out our roundup of the best deals at Best Buy this weekend.

Apple Watch SE 2022

Looking to score an Apple Watch this Memorial Day? Then you’ll want to check out this excellent Amazon deal. The Apple Watch SE 2022 (GPS/40mm) is down to $189 at Amazon, that’s a $60 saving off its full retail price of $249.

In our Apple Watch SE 2022 review, we called it the best Apple Watch value you’ll find and praised its powerful processor, Crash Detection capability and watchOS 9 upgrades. It’s the perfect Apple Watch for newcomers to the smartwatch world.

Here’s another massive sale on apparel that you can shop before the Memorial Day weekend. Amazon is running a huge Skechers sale with deals starting from just $17 and discounts currently available across a whole load of styles and sizes.

The deal our experts recommend most is the Skechers Women’s Go Run Lite Sneakers on sale for $59 at Amazon. They made our list of the best Skechers due to their lightweight construction, breathable mesh and energetic, responsive internal cushioning.

Lululemon’s “We Made Too Much” section is a great place to score some awesome gear, at a discounted price. And the popular apparel retailer has just restocked its inventory ahead of the long Memorial Day weekend.

Current highlights include training and yoga gear starting at just $9 at Lululemon and the best-selling Align leggings from $39. There’s also the Scuba Oversized Hoodie for $89 at Lululemon. Plus, you can get the Align Asymmetrical Bra Light Support for $29. These won’t stick around long, so check out the full range now.

Memorial Day wouldn’t be complete with a sale on Amazon hardware and right now there are dozens of Alexa-powered devices on sale from $19. The deals are generally good if you need to replace a broken item, but remember that Prime Day deals aren’t that far off. While Amazon hasn’t confirmed a date yet, we know it’ll happen sometime in July, which means you’ll find cheaper Amazon devices deals come July. My advice — if you can afford to wait, hold off till July. If you need a new device ASAP, check out their current sale below.

Memorial Day sales

Happy Friday, everyone! The holiday weekend is just hours away, but before you check out for the day, there are some Memorial Day sales you need to be aware of. Memorial Day is the first major retail holiday of the year, dwarfing previous sales like Presidents’ Day and even the Amazon Big Spring Sale (sorry, Amazon). In fact, most of this weekend’s sales won’t resurface till late summer when Labor Day approaches. So if you’ve been looking to buy a new TV, mattress, or laptop — this is the weekend to do it. Practically every sale is already live, so we’re rounding up the best discounts you can right now, so that you can enjoy your long weekend without having to log back on.
