  • Houston Astros Opening Day Street Fest at Minute Maid Park – The World Series champs kick off the 2023 season with live music, face painting, food trucks, giveaways and other fun for fans of every age. Stick around and watch the team in the first of four home games against the Chicago White Sox. Game ticket required for entry; $130 and up. 3pm to 6pm.
  • MLB Opening Day featuring Astros Game at Wakefield Crowbar | No Cover – The Garden Oaks sports bar is showing the Astros game against the White Sox, broadcasting on a 24-foot TV wall, alongside other Opening Day action from around the MLB. 6pm.
  • Yappy Hour at Urban South HTX | No Cover – Jenni’s Rescue Ranch is the guest of honor so grab your furry pals, get them dressed to the nines, and head to Urban South in Arts District where there will be drink specials, pet accessories, treat vendors, raffles and pet adoptions. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Line Dance Lessons at Neon Boots Dancehall & Saloon | No Cover – Gather beneath the lights of a neon moon at Neon Boots saloon for free line dancing lessons to learn your 1’s and 2’s. 6:30pm to midnight.
  • Comedian David Cross at White Oak Music Hall – The comedic legend of Mr. Show and Arrested Development fame is taking over the downstairs stage at White Oak Music Hall to give everyone a good dose of the Worst Daddy in the World Tour. $42.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Drag Bingo at Eureka Heights Brewing Company | No Cover – Celebrate the beautiful majesty of one of America’s most in-demand drag queens, Houston’s own Dessie Love-Blake, as she hosts a delightful round of Drag Bingo in the taproom of Eureka Heights. Bring your own dauber or purchase one for $2. 7pm to 8:30pm.
  • Trivia Night at Southern Star Brewery | No Cover – It’s time for Q’s and Brews with all questions being supplied by your hosts for the evening, Craft Quiz Co. Brews are on you. 7pm to 9pm.
  • The Riot Comedy Club presents Will Burkart at Rudyard’s Pub – The L.A.–based stand-up comedian is pulling a double at one of the hottest comedy spots in town when he brings his national tour to Rudz for two shows in one night. $15 and up. 7pm and 9pm.

  • Art Car IPA 5K at St. Arnold Brewing Company – Combine your loves of fitness and beer in this morning race at Houston’s signature brewery. Entry fees include 5K entry, access to the post-race party, an Art Car IPA pint glass and more. Registration is $60; $30 to attend the party only. 8:30am.
  • Brunch & Bingo at Gotti’s | No Cover – Gotti’s in EaDo has the brunch and bingo covered for you on a Sunday afternoon. Play some bingo to win drinks, carafes, and mimosa towers. Reservations are recommended. 11am to 4pm.

  • Queen Legacy: A Tribute to Queen at Main Street Crossing – Head to Tomball for a spectacular showing by Queen Legacy, pulling all the hits, deep cuts, and classics for two shows in one night. $45 and up. 4pm and 8pm.
  • GULP! featuring Mall Grab at Bauhaus Houston – Say goodbye to one week and hello to another as the London-based Aussie techno and house producer hops through the city to perform at Bauhaus. $15 and up. 6pm.
  • Jack Daniel’s Honey Art, Beats & Lyrics at Post Houston | FREE with RSVP – The traveling urban art and music exhibition comes to Houston, offering a look at visionary artists and featuring hip-hop performances. 6pm to 11pm.
