3-star Florida wide receiver chooses Arizona over Syracuse football, two others

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 3-star, Class of 2025 wide receiver from Florida made his verbal commitment during a ceremony at his high school Wednesday evening.

Isaiah Mizell had Syracuse football in his top four alongside Arizona, Kansas State and Georgia Tech. He committed to the Wildcats.

Mizell visited all four of his top schools prior to his commitment.

Arizona’s coaching staff currently features ex-Syracuse head coach Dino Babers as its offensive coordinator.

Mizell (6-foot, 160 pounds) is the No. 113 player in Florida and No. 136 wide receiver in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

He plays for Boone High School and finished his junior season with 49 catches for 1,057 yards and 22 touchdowns, according to the team’s MaxPreps page. He led his team in both receiving yards and touchdowns.

The Orange are next in the mix for New York offensive tackle Jayden Mann, who’s committing Thursday night, and edge CJ May, who makes his commitment Saturday afternoon.
